Porcine Fibrinogen ELISA Kit 1 Kit (96 Wells) - 1 Kit

The sensitive measurement of porcine fibrinogen (pig fibrinogen) in plasma and other biological fluids is easily performed with this 96 well strip format ELISA kit. All reagents and standards are provided in these ELISA kits. Fibrinogen is present in normal porcine plasma at a concentration of 2-4 mg/ml. The assay measures total porcine fibrinogen in the 1.56-800 ng/ml range. Samples giving porcine fibrinogen levels above 500ng/ml should be diluted in 1X diluent before use. A 1:500,000 to 1:1,000,000 dilution for normal plasma is suggested for best results. Fibrinogen is a soluble glycoprotein that circulates in the blood and is converted to insoluble fibrin by thrombin in the final step of the coagulation cascade. Hepatic expression of fibrinogen increases two to four hundred fold during the acute phase response to infection or inflammation.
